Roadmap

What comes next

Direction, not a schedule. No delivery dates are announced.

  1. Done

    Foundations

Typed API contracts, a simulated libvirt test driver and a capability checker.

  2. Now

    Single-host preview

VM lifecycle, consoles, snapshots, backups, networks and an installer on one Ubuntu 24.04 host.

  3. Next

    Hardening

Signed release artifacts and broader testing on real hardware. Not available yet.

  4. Longer term

    Beyond one host

Multi-host management and high availability. Not supported in the current release.

Not supported in the current release: high availability, multi-host management, stability guarantees, or suitability for production workloads. Release artifacts are not signed yet. Hosts other than Ubuntu 24.04 LTS on x86_64 are untested.
